Frequently Asked Questions
Here you'll find information on how to use our online store. For more general mountain information, please head back to our main website: www.highlandmountain.com
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Accounts are required to purchase any product from our online store. If you are under 18, your parent will need to create a profile for themselves and then add you as an associate in order to buy passes for you and complete your waiver.
How do I create an account?
In the main menu, click login or register. You must be 18 or over to create an account. If you're under 18, your parent or legal guardian will need to create an account for themselves using their birthday and email, then add you as an associate.
How do I buy passes for other people?
Once you create an account for yourself, select "My Account" and then "Associates". When adding an associate that is not your child or legal guardian, we strongly suggest using their parent's email address as it makes it easier for their parent to sign their waiver. You can also add an associate when you are buying a product by selecting "Add new party member" from the dropdown.
What if my account has incorrect information (birthday, etc.)?
You can edit some information by going to "My Account" and clicking "Customer Info". Some information such as birthday, will need to be updated by us at Highland. You may request this by phone, email or in-person.
I made an account but I can't find it. What do I do?
You should be able to locate your account using the same email address and birthday used when you created it. You can select the "Forgot Password" link to reset your password. Some names that are hyphenated, use apostrophes, or use nicknames may need to try a few variations to remember which one you used when creating the account.
I just turned 18, how do I make my own account?
Happy Birthday! You can create a brand new account, and let us know so we can merge all your information to your adult account. This is how your smart vouchers and buddy passes will move to your own account, and you'll be able to redeem them yourself. Please note: we'll need you to complete a new adult (18+) waiver once you turn 18 as well.
How does flex pricing work?
Our adult lift day pass prices are determined by the available quantity of passes each day – so expect flexible pricing based on the date of your visit and when you buy. The further out you plan your visit, the better your chances of getting a pass at up to 35% off. You can always buy a lift day pass at the window rate on the day of your visit.
What if I'm eligible for a lift day pass discount (such as military, NEMBA/VMBA, etc.)?
Day pass discounts are only valid off the walk-up window rate on passes purchased in-person, and connot be combined with online discounted day passes. You will be required to show eligiblity for the discount. We do not sell out of lift day passes, so they will be available for purchase in-person the day of your visit.
How do I redeem a pass I bought online?
When you arrive at Highland, please check in at our Welcome Center. Each person riding will need to stop in to receive a wristband for the day. Everyone age 18 and over will be required to show ID.
What if I can't make it on the day I bought a pass for? Can someone else use the pass?
Day passes are non-refundable and non-transferable other dates. You can transfer the day pass to another rider. Please give us a call and we can transfer a day pass to someone else. (Three Ride Passes and Season Passes are non-transferable to other riders.)
Can I still buy a pass in-person?
We don't have a capacity cap on day lift passes. You may always buy in-person on the day of your visit at the window rate. Lessons and rentals have capacity caps due to bike availability, and HTC sessions are limited to 20 riders per session, so be sure to reserve those ahead of time.
How do I complete my waiver?
When you purchase a pass product, you'll be prompted to select the waiver for the person the pass is for. In the checkout, you can read and sign waivers for you and your children. You can also email a waiver to someone else to sign. You can also select the over 18 waiver under products, add it to your cart for $0, and continue with the checkout until the end to read and sign. You can also sign a waiver in person at your fist visit of the season.
If I already did a 2024 waiver, do I need to do a new one?
Anyone who has completed a 2024 Under 18 waiver for their child, or anyone who attended the Winter Woolly event in 2024 should not have to complete another 2024 waiver. If you did a waiver for your child and the email verification was not completed, you will need to complete a new one. If you signed a waiver and did not attend the Winter Woolly, you will need to complete a new one.
What is your waiver policy?
We require every participant to complete one NEW waiver each calendar year. All participants ages 18 and over will be required to present a valid form of photo ID at check-in. Examples of valid forms of ID are a driver’s license, passport, or state-issued ID. If you do not have a photo ID proving you are 18, you will be regarded as being under 18. For participants under the age of 18, the waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Please note that completing the under 18 waiver online will require a valid parent email address and ID for verification purposes. A legal guardian is defined as a person assigned by a court to take care of a minor. Step-parents, foster parents, grandparents, other family members or friends are NOT legal guardians unless they have been recognized as such by a court. If this is your situation, you will be required to show documentation provided by a court. Highland Mountain Bike Park reserves the right to deny entry to any individual or group that misrepresents themselves as a parent or legal guardian of a minor or fails to comply with this policy.
How do I complete a waiver for my child?
Please go to our online store and register for an account, using your (the parent) name, birthday and email. Then, go to Products, Waivers, and select the Under 18 Waiver. This is a $0 product that you will add to your cart as though you are purchasing it. Continue through the checkout until the end, and it will prompt you to Read and Sign the waiver for your child.
How do I complete a waiver for someone who is not my child?
Please review the waiver policy above for the legal definition of parent or legal guardian. You may purchase products for someone who is not your child by adding them as an associate in the checkout process. Please enter their parent's email address when adding them as an associate. The parent will then get an email showing there is a pending waiver for their child, and prompt them to sign it.
How do I redeem a buddy pass smart voucher?
You can find your buddy passes under My Account, Smart Vouchers. These can be redeemed in person, or online by entering the voucher code in the checkout process.
How do I access buddy passes and smart vouchers for my child?
Unfortunately, for a season pass holder that is under 18, they will need to be redeemed in-person.
How do I use my season pass holder discount on apparel and accessories?
Great news - it's already built into your account as a season pass holder, and should automatically be applied at checkout! The Retail part of our online store is coming soon.
How do I use a gift card to buy something online?
In the checkout process, enter your gift card number in the gift card field. If your card has a 4-digit pin, be sure to enter it. If it does not have a pin, please leave that field blank.
How do I redeem a "Next Ride on Us" card?
These can be redeemed in-person at the Welcome Center for a free day pass. There is no need to book online in advance.
What is a Three Ride Pass?
The Three Ride Pass is three day lift passes for one rider, to use anytime in the 2024 season. They are non-transferable to other riders. There is no way to reserve the day pass for these online (but we never sell out!) so simply come to the welcome center on the day you arrive to redeem one of your visits from the Three Ride Pass.
